Audi Introduces A7 PHEV In The U.S.: Price/Specs07/08/2020
The plug-in hybrid version of the Audi A7 has arrived to the U.S.
Audi officially introduces its third plug-in hybrid in the U.S. market, the A7 Sportback 55 TFSI e quattro, which will be available from fall 2020.
The prices start at $74,900, which after including the expected $995 destination fee and deducting the federal tax credit of $6,712, effectively turns into $69,183.
Model year 2021 A7 55 TFSI e starting manufacturer suggested retail prices:
Premium Premium Plus Prestige A7 55 TFSI e
$80,250 A7 55 TFSI $69,200 $74,350 $78,350 S7 $84,400 $90,300
The specs, including the 14.1 kWh battery and total system output of 270 kW, are the same as in Europe, although the EPA all-electric range was not yet announced. We assume it will be more than in the case of A8 PHEV (17 miles), but probably not more than 20 miles. In Europe, it’s over 40 km (25 miles) WLTP.
A positive feature in the A7 PHEV is a heat pump, which should help to preserve the all-electric range during the cold weather.
“To help bolster efficiency, the climate control system uses a heat pump that pools the waste heat from the high-voltage components and instead uses it to heat the vehicle’s cabin.”
See more details about the features in the press release section below.
