The Boat Tail is a convertible grand tourer and it is the first of an exclusive trio of personalised cars commissioned by mystery multi-millionaires. The nautical-themed car has been dubbed “the most ambitious motor car ever created” and it’s now the most expensive new car.

The unique vehicle has been commissioned under Rolls-Royce new Coachbuild program, an invitation-only division of the company.

The program allows the most high-end clients to create unique and highly personalised cars.

The first one being delivered has a nautical theme with a rear deck that automatically extends from the back and turns into a picnic set.

The extravagant feature is designed for serving chilled champagne and has its own parasol.

Although the mystery client’s identity is still unknown, it is believed that the first one has been delivered to a wealthy couple.

The clients love having chilled champagne in alfresco picnics, apparently.

The Boat Tail is a convertible four-seat, measuring 5.8 meters long, with probably the most impressive characteristic located at the rear of the car.

The “aft deck” of the vehicle is shaped like a yacht deck and includes some extravagant features.

There is a refrigerator to stow two bottles of champagne and a cuisine section with temperature-controlled food warmers.

But there’s more. Another unique luxurious touch is the addition of bespoke watches that can be worn or inserted into the car.

The clients will also find Montblanc pens in the Boat Tail’s glove box.

It is also believed that another of the clients’ passions is collecting luxury pens.

It has taken four years to design and manufacture the car in collaboration with clients who wanted a unique car.

Only three have been made, each of them has been highly personalised by the wealthy clients.

Rolls Royce’s CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös said that they have been involved in “every step of the journey” and that the creation of such bespoke cars was a “money can’t buy experience.”

“It’s something extremely rare and (something) only very selected people might be able to do,” he said.

“We’re not talking here any volume or numbers – that would be a contradiction to that concept. We want to see that highly, highly exclusive clients are hand-picked, I must say they are hand-picked by me in person, as we want to know with whom we are going on such a journey.”

The unique car is the first one to be built in Rolls-Royce’s new Coachbuild department at the headquarters in Goodwood, Sussex.

The Boat Tail has been dubbed “the most ambitious motor car ever created” and it is the most expensive new car.

But what’s the reason behind the exorbitant amount?

The fact that the car has been engineered and designed from scratch as a near one off is the reason for the vast expense.

With normal cars, the costs are spread across the number of vehicles produced – in this case, only three models have been produced.

The previous most expensive cars in the world were the Rolls-Royce’s £10million coachbuilt Sweptail of 2017 and the Bugatti’s £11.5million ‘La Voiture Noir’ hypercar.

Rolls-Royce has said that its next Coachbuild car project was underway, but details are not yet being revealed.
