Lincoln Is Building 150 More Suicide Door Continentals for 2020

Missed out on your chance to own one of the 80 2019 Lincoln Continental Coach Door Editions last year? We don’t blame you—the suicide door-equipped cars sold out within 48 hours, leaving many enthusiastic buyers empty-handed. Well, there’s good news: Lincoln is bringing the car back for 2020, and this time around, there will be a whole 150 units available. Better get your order in quickly.

Like last year, the 2020 Continental Coach Door Edition will be available only in the car’s top-level Black Label trim level, meaning a 400-horsepower Ecoboost 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 sending power to all four wheels. For 2020, the rear occupants get a whole lot of new stuff, including a 110-volt power outlet, a wireless charging pad, illuminated door sills, two USB ports, two onboard umbrellas, and a space to store two tablets.

Buyers will be able to choose between three exterior colors: Infinite Black, Pristine White Metallic, and Chroma Crystal Blue (shown above). There are two available interior themes: Alpine and Jet Black. Curiously, Lincoln says you won’t be able to pair the blue with the Jet black theme.

Order books for the car will open today, October 4th, 2019. It will start at $115,470 plus delivery charges, which is over $45,000 more than a standard Black Label Continental. Deliveries will start in Spring 2020.
