Carlos Ghosn sues Nissan-Mitsubishi for Euro 15 million07/24/2019
According to a media report, Carlos Ghosn has filed a lawsuit against his former employers Nissan and Mitsubishi in the Netherlands, seeking Euro 15 million in damages.
Ghosn’s lawyer has reportedly said that Nissan did not give prior intimation about its decision to sack his client and neither provided any evidence to support its accusations against him.
Reports suggest that the district court in Amsterdam is reviewing the case but has not set a trial date yet.
Ghosn was arrested in Japan last year on charges of financial misconduct. He was later released from jail on a US$ 4.5 million bail.
Nissan and Mistubishi have accused Ghosn of improperly receiving $9 million in compensation from their joint venture. He is also suspected of spending Euro 11 million, while he was heading Renault and Nissan.
