Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG launched at Rs. 13.23 lakh

The Hyryder CNG uses the same 1.5-litre K-Series engine that powers the Grand Vitara S-CNG.

Toyota has introduced CNG variants of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder in India. The SUV is available in two variants: S and G, priced at Rs 13.23 lakh and Rs 15.29 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

The Hyryder CNG is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder K-series engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It develops 99 BHP and 136 Nm when running on petrol, but the overall output drops to 87 BHP and 121.5 Nm when running on CNG. The same engine is offered in the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara S-CNG, and like its twin, the Hyryder has a claimed fuel efficiency of 26.6 km/kg.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder was launched in September last year. The SUV shares its underpinnings with the Grand Vitara and gets mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid powertrain options as well.

The Hyryder CNG comes equipped with features such as LED headlamps, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic climate control, cruise control and 6-airbags, among others.
