You better have a decent car, it had better be clean, and no one should ever guess what shenanigans you got up to in the backseat. Those are ride-sharing basics if you’re trying to make money as a driver.

But now we’re in a pandemic mode that shows no sign of ending anytime soon. You’ll need to show you care about your rider’s health, even if all you want is seven bucks and all they want is to get to a coffee shop. These days, these low-cost items should be in every good driver’s ride-share vehicle to earn the fullest ratings.

If you’re not near a Trader Joe’s where it sells for about half price, scoop up this scented sanitizer that actually smells refreshing and hides the raw alcohol stank underneath.

Goes without saying. You’ll want a rider wearing one if they aren’t already.

As taxi drivers have long known, a plexiglass partition is what separates you from them. This one clips into brackets hanging on the headrests and is quickly removable. 

They need juice to pay you, so keep a cheap Android cable handy.

Don’t forget the iPhone riders! If your car isn’t new enough to have rear USB ports, grab a 12-volt power adapter.

We picked the most expensive water, but any bottled water will be fine so long as you’re not ferrying around riders who brush their teeth with Voss and Fiji.

This is an easy one. Everyone loves Oreos, and anyone who sees you splurged for Double Stuf is going to ride-share heaven. (It’s up to you to vacuum the crumbs between rides.)

Every sweet snack needs a salty counterpart. This one’s also a classic and can do no wrong.
