Guenther Steiner warns drivers: Something has to change07/30/2019
Guenther Steiner has ominously told his Haas drivers that “something has to change” after they made contact for the fourth time this year alone at the German Grand Prix.
Racing for points at a wet Hockenheimring, Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen smacked wheels at Turn 6 as they fought for position.
Magnussen blamed Grosjean for “turning into me” while Grosjean had “no comment” to make about their latest incident.
Steiner, though, had plenty to say with the team boss warning his drivers that changes are coming.
“Something has to change,” he told Dutch publication Formule1.nl.
“They cannot bump into each other every weekend.
“We have to see with the team what steps we are going to take, because this cannot happen every race.”
Despite their argy-bargy out on track, both drivers finished inside the top ten and were later promoted a further two positions after Alfa Romeo were penalised.
Grosjean was P7, Magnussen was eighth.
“We are not quick on the road, so we do not need more distractions,” Steiner added.
“It was not about speed, but about luck.
“I’m not going to say that everything is fantastic because our speed just wasn’t there. ”
